Can we talk about how good a slow summer morning feels?
Of course, not every summer day feels this way.
But when there is a morning with no rushing, no carpool and plenty of time to start the day with ease and intention, it’s just such a treat.
I’ve been leaning into that feeling as much as I can lately and it’s got me thinking about a few other simple things that I’ve been loving this summer…
1. Morning breathwork on the patio
Without having to rush out the door to school drop off, I’m taking advantage of the slower paced morning.
Starting my day with a quick walk (even just 10 min) and a few minutes of breathing on the patio has been energizing and life giving.
My recent go-to has been this 7-minute Invitation to Softness in the Lindywell app.
I highly recommend it.

2. This fresh summer pasta recipe
This BLT Pasta Salad is a hit in our house and a perfect side dish for summer gatherings.
BLT Pasta Salad
Serves 2
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked gluten-free fusilli pasta (or pasta of choice)
1/2 cup grape tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
2 sliced cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 avocado, cubed
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 cup Primal Kitchen ranch dressing (or similar)
Instructions:
1. Start by boiling the pasta according to package directions. Drain, rinse and add to a large mixing bowl.
2. Add remaining ingredients and toss well to combine.
3. Chill pasta salad in the fridge for 1-2 hours prior to serving.
You can also find this recipe + many others inside your Lindwell App. Be sure to save it as a favorite.

3. A refreshing summer mocktail
I’ve been on the hunt for a quick & easy summer mocktail that I actually enjoy (most are too sweet and not worth the sugar intake).
I shared a Mocktail tasting on Instagram and the comments had a lot of great recommendations.
My favorite so far is from the brand Aplos (not sponsored), but just as often I’ve been opting for a Cream Soda Olipop or a simple glass of Topo Chico over ice with lots of lime.
It’s been perfect for when I want to partake in happy hour, but don’t want a fitful night of sleep. It’s been nice to have a non-alcoholic option to share with dinner guests too.
I hope you’re having a good summer, friends!
Remember to slow down and savor the season in ways that you can.
