After last week’s deep thoughts on what’s real and what’s fake in the fitness world, we’re keeping this week’s Wellness Wednesday light and fun. 🙂
Here are a few things I’ve been loving, using and learning lately that you might be interested in too….

Loving: One thing I’ve realized as I get older and find my own style…is that I like my clothes to feel like pajamas. 😆
My days are a mix of sitting at my computer, working from my walking pad, actual walks around the neighborhood and shuttling kids around town. And I like to be comfy while doing it.
I’ve been living in these wide leg pants by Vuori. They’re soft, flattering and so comfortable.

Using: A shared iphone note to help lighten my mental load.
The mental load of work and motherhood is real.
My husband, Matt, and I have had many conversations about how my brain works vs. how his brain works and after yet another conversation about the mental load I carry around each day, he came up with the idea of a shared note called “Robin’s Brain.”
It’s been super helpful for us – click here to see how it works.

Learning: How to savor moments in my life to experience more happiness.
As a working mom of 4, my days are packed. And if I’m not intentional, I will rush through my days without slowing down to enjoy or be truly present for any of it.
This podcast episode by Dr. Arther Brooks makes a research-backed case for the value of savoring small moments in our daily lives.
I’m now going through my day and pausing to savor simple moments – from my first morning sip of coffee, to the moments on the sidelines.
I encourage you to see what you can pause and savor today too. 💛
I’ll be back with another Wellness Wednesday blog next week!

Robin, thank you for another great Wellness Wednesday post! I always enjoy reading your thoughts and insights. A topic that I would love for you to explore at some point that I’ve seen popping up around the internet is whether Pilates is “enough” to maintain your fitness and good health. As Pilates seems to be gaining popularity again, I’ve seen wellness influencers, personal trainers, etc. weighing in about how Pilates should merely complement your workout routine and should not be a foundation on which you build. I’ve also seen some members in the Lindywell Facebook group question the very same thing – is Pilates enough and if not, how does a busy Mom/woman find time to add in more?
We’re so glad the Wellness Wednesday posts have been resonating for you, Cassie! And we appreciate you sharing what you are wanting to hear more about too. I’ll be sure to share with Robin so she can consider it for a future post. 🙂
