  1. This podcast could not have come at a better time. My husband is currently going through a mental health episode. He suffers from persistent depressive disorder, anxiety and PTSD. It is a challenging time for our family but we are utilizing every resource available to us to navigate it. The thing that stuck with me the most about this episode was when you said it’s hard to understand when you are looking at it from a rational standpoint. It is so difficult to see my husband consumed by irrational thoughts, knowing I can’t fully understand or help him. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your story with us, Robin. We are better together!

    1. We’re sorry to hear the challenges your husband is facing and how that impacts your family, but so glad that you’ve found the resources available to help. We agree it’s always better together, Sharon. We’re here for you!❤

  2. Thank you for your words of encouragement. With seasonal change comes with seasonal depression for me so this was a perfect pick me up. I’m so thankful to have this sisterhood and community support that we can all share with each other ❤

Thanks for talking about this. In fact, you are right, you need to talk about it more often, because, despite everything, mental health is still stigmatized, and it’s just awful. My wife suffers from depression, and no matter how much I want, I cannot help her as a doctor and full treatment. She is now undergoing treatment, and I am surprised by the large number of people who do not take it seriously. I do not draw a clear line between mental and physical health, because both aspects greatly affect our lives.

    1. We’re sorry to hear of your wife’s depression, but so glad that she is undergoing treatment. Thanks for sharing your perspective on mental and physical health, we completely agree!

  7. After a recent fight with cancer, my mental health was what suffered the most. I am mostly physically recovered but the mental cuts are deep and will take significantly longer to heal. Thank you for helping with the battle that no one sees the scars for.
