I’m so excited to announce the details of my next FREE, online challenge today!
28 Days of Pilates was about starting the year on a healthy foot.
The Pilates Summer Series was all about summer prep.
And this next challenge will serve as a mid-year reset to help you care for your body and mind before diving into the busy Fall season (I know, I hate to even mention it, but it’s coming!)
Introducing…#MindBodyMat.
This challenge will take you beyond the mat.
It’s a challenge to care for your body AND mind in little bits each day; to take practical steps that will benefit your mind, body and spirit; to focus on MORE than just exercise (although we’ll certainly do plenty of that, too).
Because the mind and body will always affect one another – positively or negatively – we get to decide.
I don’t know about you, but my routine could use a little re-set after all the summer indulgence, travel and fun.
#MindBodyMat is designed to strengthen your body, clear your mind and rejuvenate your spirit.
On August 11th we’ll join together as a community and intentionally care for our minds and bodies on a daily basis.
You know I believe in making small, everyday changes to improve your health.
So this program is exactly that; small changes that will add up to big results.
I challenge you to spend 5-10 minutes per day caring for your body AND mind for the next 3 weeks.
Are you in?
Here are the details…
WHO:
You + me + the encouraging, supportive community of Balanced Life beauties.
WHAT:
The challenge: take 5-10 minutes per day to care for your body and mind during the month of August.
Every Monday – Friday I’ll post a new workout here on the blog for you to do at home.
Each video will be 5 – 10 minutes long (manageable for even the busiest of schedules) and focus on one target area.
I’ll also post a specific self-care challenge for you to complete each day to help you restore your spirit and bring more balance into your daily life. These challenges will be practical, manageable and fun.
WHEN:
Monday, August 11 – August 31, 2014.
The videos will be posted here on the blog by 5:00 am EST.
You can do them on your own time throughout the day (so there’s really no excuse…).
WHERE:
All videos will be posted here on The Balanced Life. So be sure to bookmark my site. You’ll follow along from the comfort of your own home.
WHY:
Because we’re all busy but we can (and should) commit to finding 5 minutes a day to care for our bodies and minds.
Because small steps add up to big changes.
Because we could all use a little reset before we head into the busy Fall season.
Because we cannot care for others well unless we first care for ourselves.
And because working out together is MUCH more fun than working out alone.
And because…IT’S FREE!
I’m so excited to get started and really hope you’ll join me!

Ooh, this is perfect timing. I start my new job on August 11th, so this is exactly what I need to make sure I don’t let fitness and self-care fall by the wayside. So excited!
Perfect timing!
I’m so excited, this is perfect and so needed. Thank you!
So glad to have you back again!
I CAN’T wait! Loved the other challenges and this one looks just as amazing.
Hi Deanna! Glad you’ll be joining again. 🙂
This is so awesome, Robin! All your workouts I’ve done have been fantastic and I can’t wait for this. I am definitely in!! 😉
So glad to hear that! xo
So excited for this! I did the Summer Series (a month behind the real challenge as I discovered it late) and loved it so much I am now on Day 16 of the 28 Day Challenge. I can’t wait to start this new challenge and join in with everyone else in real time this go-round. Thank you Robin for these amazing workouts! They are fantastic motivation for a mama trying to get back in touch with her muscles.
SO great! I’m so glad you’re doing all of this! Excited to work with you more in the future. 🙂
If I’m traveling a lot–read: small spaces, no mat–will the upgrade be good for that?
The upgrade will be the same as the daily workouts in terms of space. You’ll just need enough room to lay down and move your arms & legs. 🙂
I can’t wait! Thank you.
You’re welcome! Thank YOU for joining me. 🙂
I’m so excited about this! I was wondering how you split your workouts during the week Robin? Do you do so many days pilates with a few runs wherever you can fit them in?
My workouts these days are based on my mood and the amount of time I have available/my schedule. I do Pilates a few times a week (sometimes in very small chunks) and then go for a run 1-3x per week depending on the week. 🙂 I’m very loose with my routine because I enjoy it more that way!
I am still thinking about upgrading. Is there a deadline for the upgrade or do I have until the week of?:)
Great question! The upgrade will be available through the end of the 1st week. 🙂
Quick question, when we sign up for the challenge, should we get an email fairly soon after? I signed up last week but have not received the confirmation email. Thanks!
Yes, you should. 🙂 Did you check your spam folder? If you don’t see it there let me know and I will look into it further….
Found it, thank you! I am all signed up and I will upgrade on Friday. Loved the upgrade workouts for the Pilates Summer Series!
I have really been loving your workouts for the last several weeks. I’m doing the 28 day challenge and seeing results! How encouraging for a lovely 10 minute workout! Thanks, Robin. Looking forward to this upcoming challenge
So glad to hear that Olivia! xo

would these exercises be good to do while pregnant?
Hi Kate!
While many of the exercises are safe to do while pregnant – some are not. So therefore, I can’t recommend this as a pregnancy-safe program. I do however have a great, prenatal Pilates program that is available all the time. Click on the tab at the top of the page called “prenatal Pilates.” There are a lot of pregnancy-specific workouts that I filmed while I was in my 2nd and 3rd trimesters along with a lot of other helpful resources to prepare you for labor and delivery. xo
I have been away from pilates for almost 6 years. Before my back injury I was practicing for 10 years. I miss it so much. The doctors have finally given me the all clear and this has come at the best time. I am ready to get by body balanced again!
