#mindbodymat: day 11 (Pilates Ab Workout)

Can you believe we’re entering the final week of the challenge?

I’m not ready for this to end! The good news is we still have 5 fun, effective workouts lined up for the week ahead.

We’ll be working the entire body and continuing to incorporate more self-care into our days.

I’m in the process of re-structuring my daily/weekly routine to create more balance in my life (yes, I get off course too) and things haven’t quite gone as planned today. But that’s okay. I’m re-evaluating and hoping for a better day tomorrow. I’m excited to share some of my new “balance strategies” with you once I put them to the test. 🙂

Self-Care Challenge…

If you’re having a “Monday” too this challenge will be a perfect way to leave the stress behind.

Wine, bubbles and candles? I mean…come on. What’s not to love?

If you don’t have a tub, take a long, hot shower and create a spa-like environment to end the day. You may even add a face mask or sugar scrub to take the pampering one step further. The point is just to change up your routine and do something lovely for yourself tonight.

Let’s workout…

It’s ab day! Don’t forget to focus on the transverse abdominus as you go through today’s Pilates ab workout. You should feel like you’re wearing a tight corset as you perform these exercises. Of course you have to breathe too, but keep reminding yourself to draw your waist in from all directions to get the most out of your workout today.

It’s a challenging one today!

    Hey Robin,
    I’m really enjoying the #mindbodymat challenge, I have improved on the Teaser exercise already. I struggled to raise my legs before, but I can do it now! I can’t believe we’re on the last week already!
    I’d love to to your Pilates body programme, do I just sign up or do you have a waiting list etc?
    Thank you for putting together the different challenges, it keeps our Pilates practise fresh and interesting 🙂

  2. I did the Sweat & Oranges workout before this. Needless to say I’m a bit exhausted! But before working out today I was feeling sluggish and tired. I feel so much better now. I need to continue making my arms stronger that’s for sure 🙂

  3. Today’s workout was great and I could do the full teaser! I did not do the double up challenge today. I had just come back from swimming laps for 40 minutes before I did today’s abs workout so I was too tired to do a double up. Perhaps tomorrow… I can’t believe it’s the last week of the challenge. I’m going to miss this when it’s over. Thank you for another great workout and love the long sleeve athleta shirt!

  4. I have a facial mask for as soon as the kids are asleep and I doubled up with the booty workout from Day 9. Thank you for a great start to the week!
