Over the years I’ve written a handful of posts about the WHY behind our pursuit of health & fitness.
I’m more passionate about your WHY than I am your results.
I’m on a mission to inspire women to question their WHY and perhaps change it.
My list of WHY’s used to be: to lose weight, to get skinny, to look like images in magazines, to burn calories, because I ate too much, to look like celebrities, to be more attractive, to be more lovable, to be more “perfect, etc.
My WHY’s have shifted over the years which is exactly what inspired me to start this business and blog.
These days my WHY’s look more like this: to feel strong, to improve my mood, to maintain my confidence, to be a better wife, to care for my health, to be free of pain, to reduce stress, for the endorphin boost, set and achieve goals, etc.
This article titled, Happy Exercise vs. Stressed Exercise sums speaks to this message and what The Balanced Life is all about. I encourage you to take a minute to read it and consider your WHY.
Are you exercising because you love it or because you’re afraid of gaining weight?
