TBL Favorites: December 2019

Hi Beauties!

I hope you enjoyed the December Monthly Teaser in your inbox this morning! (If you’re not signed up for our monthly roundup, you can join our list here.)

We have so much fun compiling our favorite things each month and sharing them with each other and with you! We hope you find something fun, a new book, or a delicious recipe to try as we wrap up 2019!

Currently Listening to:

How to stop hustling with Jennie Allen on The Real Life podcast.” – Robin

“This album is one of my staples this time of year. It’s a great mix of familiar and new songs and the new ones have quickly become favorites in our house, especially the song “Christmas Tonight.'” – Susan

“This episode is a few months old, but I loved listening to Johnnyswim on The Typology podcast. I’m also a 9 married to a 7, so it was enlightening and entertaining to hear the similarities!” – Jordin

Currently Reading:

“I have been revisiting No Drama Discipline.” – Robin

“Just Finished Where the Crawdads Sing and I thought it was a really beautiful story.” – Jaclyn

“I know Ann Patchett is a beloved writer and The Dutch House is the first novel I’ve read by her – it did not disappoint!” – Martha

Wardrobe:

“This black cape/shawl from Lole! It’s the perfect layering piece for the chilly Santa Barbara mornings that give way to warm and sunny afternoons.” – Robin

“Loving the garnet color of these new Lululemon tights – the perfect color for this time of year!” – Jordin

“The mission of this organization is close to my heart as I have a baby nephew with a CHD – and I could totally live in this cute and cozy sweatshirt every day.” – Martha

“Treated myself to a pair of allbird sneakers. They really live up to the hype and I have worn them everyday since I got them last month. They’re a super comfy casual shoe for daily life!” – Jaclyn

In the Kitchen:

“We are still making these Pumpkin Spice Pancakes almost every weekend – and I recently devoured a batch of these One Bowl Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins too. (Both recipes are gluten and dairy free!)” – Robin

“I am trying to minimize the effects of cold and flu season in our house, so just made this homemade elderberry syrup. My daughter and I take it everyday and so far, it seems to be working! It’s simple so I think we’ll be making it from now on!” – Elisabeth

“I’ve been loving Kate at Naptime Kitchen’s Freezer Guide. It has given me so many practical  tips on how to freeze food which has allowed me to make double batches of soups, chili, casseroles and have healthy food on hand when I don’t feel like cooking.” – Jaclyn

“I love sweet potatoes and my go-to way to cook them is so easy it doesn’t even require a recipe. Just put them right in your crockpot in the morning and cook them on high for 7-9 hours. At the end of the day you have an easy, healthy side  to add to any meal.” – Susan
