Eight years ago I was teaching Pilates in Palo Alto, California. My husband was in grad school and I was working hard to make ends meet.
My day started at 6:00am with group Pilates classes at a high-end gym and ended at 6:00pm with a class for nurses at Stanford Hospital.
At the end of the day, there was very little time left for myself. Even though I was an instructor, I was struggling to make time for my own workouts.
And that’s when I discovered the secret to staying fit when you’re short on time.
I discovered the power of short workouts.
Since I didn’t have time to attend hour-long workout classes, I started sneaking in movement throughout the day. When I had 15 minutes between clients, I’d spend 15 minutes on my mat.
If a client was running late, instead of using that time to scroll through Instagram, I’d squeeze in a few minutes of Pilates.
And guess what happened?
I got into the BEST. SHAPE. OF. MY. LIFE.
It was easy! I didn’t have to spend hours in the gym. I didn’t have to stress about not having time for a workout. I didn’t have to drastically change my lifestyle!
I started sneaking 10-15 minute workouts into my day and I:
- built strength
- increased muscle tone
- improved my mood
- reduced stress
- boosted my energy levels
- improved flexibility
Most importantly, I felt successful and proud of the way I was taking care of myself. I no longer felt guilty – or like a failure for skipping workouts.
And you know what?
I want this for you too! I want you to experience how EASY it can be to build strength and build the habit of regular Pilates into your life.
And beyond that, I want you to experience how good it feels to see results from your efforts. The ripple effect that comes from 15 minutes of Pilates per day has the power to change your body and, more importantly, change your life….I’ve seen it happen time and time again.
I invite you to join me for the free 5-Day Pilates Jumpstart that’s kicking off on Monday.
