TBL Favorites: June 2019

Hi Beauties!

I hope you enjoyed the Monthly Teaser in your inbox this morning! (If you’re not signed up for our monthly roundup, you can join our list here.)

The team and I have so much fun compiling our favorite things to share with you each month! Hopefully they spark inspiration, provide joy, help you find a new pair of running shoes, try a new recipe, or read a new book!

This month is especially fun because along with sharing our favorites, we’re also sharing a new project – The Balanced Life Podcast! I can’t wait for you all to check it out! Listen to the first three episodes now wherever you listen to podcasts.

Currently Listening to:

Curious how The Balanced Life got its start? I shared more of the back story recently on a podcast interview with Natalie Jill.

“10 Things to Tell You – This podcast is a really easy listen where Laura Tremaine takes simple questions that  cause you to think and discuss them with intentionality. And as a big fan of Pilates — this episode was a great one: How do you connect to your body?” – Becky

“Since it launched in April, I’ve enjoyed listening to Hilary Rushford’s new podcast “You’re Welcome.” I appreciate the honesty she brings about her own life, especially dealing with hard things like grief and anxiety.” – Martha

“Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith was recently on the Going Scared Podcast and she shared some really insightful tips about getting true, rejuvenating rest. Something I think we all know we need more of, but don’t always know how to get it.” – Jordin

“I’ve been listening to Cultivate your Life by Lara Casey and I really enjoyed this episode on How to Number your Days.” – Elisabeth

Currently Reading:

I’ve been reading How To Raise an Adult. It’s packed with research, but also really enlightening and provides practical advice for raising kids who are confident and self-sufficient.

“I’m reading Dare to Lead by Brené Brown. This book has been fascinating and insightful as to how we can be examples of courage in our leadership at work.” – Becky

“I’m still in spring cleaning mode and reading Real Life Organizing by Cassandra Aarssen.” – Elisabeth

“I’m excited to start From Scratch: A Memoir of Love, Sicily, and Finding Home by Tembi Locke – I really enjoy reading other people’s stories and have heard this is a touching one.” – Martha

Wardrobe:

I’ve been living in this Onzie pullover. It’s so soft, I never want to take it off!

Robin’s recent post about swimwear motivated me to shop for something I love and feel comfortable in for a few upcoming summer trips! I really like this style of top with the front knot & paired with the high-waisted bottoms” – Martha

“I am loving this wrap from Lululemon – the perfect piece to throw on after a workout to run errands and it’s super lightweight. Perfect for summertime!” – Jordin

“These Amazon leggings are just like Athleta’s – without the price tag!” – Sarah

In the Kitchen:

My new favorite afternoon treat: roasted pistachios + mini dairy-free chocolate chips. I mix them together like a little trail mix. The salty + sweet combo hits the spot every time.

“I’ve been making this Buffalo Chicken Salad almost weekly. It’s an easy thing to prep on Sunday and have something delicious for lunch all week. It’s so good!” – Jordin

“Quick, easy and SO delicious. These no-bake peanut butter chocolate oat squares have become a family favorite! – Becky

Powerballs are a staple in our kitchen – we love them for a quick protein snack or for breakfast on the go!” – Sarah

Did you find anything new from our monthly favorites? Let us know in the comments! We would also love to hear what you are currently loving. It’s so much fun to share good things.

And don’t forget to check out The Balanced Life Podcast! If you love it, please feel free to leave a review on iTunes!

xo,
