Instructions
  1. Add the pitted dates and raw cashews to a food processor or highspeed blender and blend until the mixture starts to come together.
  2. Add the pure maple syrup, and ground cinnamon and blend again. 
  3. Scoop the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and spread to about 1-inch thick. 
  4. Top with the unsweetened dark chocolate chips or raw cocoa nibs. 
  5. Set in the freezer for 15 minutes and then cut into granola bars. 
  6. Store leftovers in the fridge or the freezer.

  1. I made these as a snack for my family using pretzels instead of cashews (my son has nut allergies). They were tasty! I week have to do a batch with cashews for myself. What other foods have others used in place of nuts in some of the recipes? Thanks!

  2. Worked perfectly with the Pampered Chef snack bar pan my MIL gave me for Christmas. Used a combo of nuts and oats. Even the kiddos liked them.

  3. Looking forward to trying these. Were tasty before the freezer ? Note to self, always check dates are pitted before popping into the processor!

      1. I loved the taste but because there were bits of ‘dangerous to teeth’ date pits in them, they had to be discarded. At the moment we’re obsessed with the no bake peanut butter oat squares but I will have to try these again ? Unfortunately my high speed blender is not functioning so well after the pit incident ?‍♀️
