This one is delish and super easy!! Yay Crockpots!
How much tomato paste? One can of what size?
I am guessing the smallest 6 oz size but it would be helpful to know. I use the tube of tomato paste that is kept in the fridge for adding a squirt or two to recipes.
Hi there! A 6 oz. can of tomato paste is great and the right amount for this recipe. 🙂 We look forward to hearing how you like this recipe!
Thank you for asking this!! Making for the Super Bowl tomorrow!
One of my favorites when we have guests over for dinner!
This is amazing!! Super easy to double so you can have lots of leftovers too.
Trying this one tonight
This is a fan favorite! We use ground chicken. Love it!
How will this recipe change if you don’t have a crockpot?
Hi Sara! We’ve only tested this in a crockpot, but you could simmer in the same skillet you used in step 1 instead of putting everything in the crockpot. Not sure on time however. Once the meat is cooked, warm until combined and hot. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
I just made this using my Instant Pot tonight and it turned out great! I browned the turkey on saute mode and then added the remaining ingredients. I cooked it for 10 minutes and then did a quick release. It either needed a minute or two less time or I should have cut the sweet potato into larger chunks because it was a little soft. But still so great, my kids even ate it up!
Love hearing that you and your kids enjoyed this recipe, Mary! ?
I’m going try this today!
Let us know how you enjoy this recipe, Cheryl!
Used lean Hamburg it was delicious! Making it again soon!
