  3. Drizzle with the dressing and enjoy!

This dish is amazing!! I used fresh wild caught salmon filets and seasoned them with a lemon citrus seasoning. I placed those on the side of the pasta and kale. I mixed the dressing in with the pasta and kale and it was delicious! Thank you!

  2. Is this cold salad-type dish? I see the word “bake” in the name, but I do not see any baking in the directions. Thanks!

Thank you for saying something, Jamie! You are right, this recipe is not baked. This can be served cold, and it can also be served warm because of the sautéed kale and cooked pasta. Please let us know how you prepare it and enjoy it!

I’ll bet this would be really tasty served warm with a little fresh parmesan cheese grated on top! And add some capers. Yum! I’ll have to try it this week.

  5. Sooo delicious and super quick on a weekday evening! I make a couple of substitutes to use up what I had in my fridge/freezer:

Sour cream instead of mayo (could use creme fraiche to be healthier though)
    Fresh lemon
Fresh hot smoked salmon fillets, precooked
Frozen spinach, defrosted in the microwave.
A good sprinkling of pepper and parmesan cheese on top!

Love these substitutes, Joanna! I’m going to have to try it with sour cream. 🙂 Thank you for sharing!

I have made this recipe on multiple occasions and one of my favorite subs for kale is roasted broccoli. If we have some leftover from another dinner it’s very easy to add and makes the meal even quicker! I also love to make it ahead for lunches during the week.
