Hi! Would any other frozen berry work well? Thanks!
I drink a berry smoothie every single morning! I use a frozen berry mix and it works well! I also use a portion of frozen banana instead of the avocado and I don’t add dairy (I use chocolate protein powder). Sometimes I add frozen peaches.
Hi I would like to know the calories this smoothie has.
Hi Elizabeth! We don’t currently include caloric information or nutritional facts (as we want to focus more on the whole, anti-inflammatory ingredients and how they nourish our bodies). However, we understand that many people need access to nutritional information for health purposes and encourage the use of apps such as MyFitnessPal if needed. ?
I absolutely love this recipe! It blew me away how sweet it was with just the cherries adding sweetness. I end up putting more avocado in it and it doesn’t affect the taste too much- then again, I love avocados. Definitely worth a try!
I added some cacao powder and substituted the vanilla for Almond extract and it is even better!
Wow, so glad you enjoyed this recipe! I’m going to have to try your version with the almond extract – yummy! ?
Do you all recommend any specific type of protein powder? There are so many on the shelves, I get a bit overwhelmed when trying to buy!
Hi Sherrie! Many of TBL’s Team Members really like the Vital Proteins brand. 🙂
Thanks!
I have to try this. I do smoothies for protein.
Is there anything else you could sub for Greek yogurt? I’m dairy free but I love cherry in my smoothies!
Hi Marisa! You could try almond, coconut, or oat milk yogurt if you’d like! 🙂
This was delicious! I subbed the yoghurt for some frozen banana as I’m dairy free – and used non flavoured hemp protein in a smaller amount. Still yummy!
What great substitutions, Rebecka! Thank you for sharing. 🙂
