I tried this with cashew butter as I didn’t have almond butter on hand and I used desiccated coconut instead. I’m not a fan of sunflower seeds, but eating them for seed cycling purposes as they seem to help my PMS. This recipe transforms simply eating an apple into eating a combination of things that provide goodness for our bodies. It’s filling and it has a good balance between all the ingredients.
Your substitutions sound great, Alice! Thank you for sharing. 🙂
Yum! I enjoyed this a lot. Used pepitas instead of sunflower seeds as I ran out.It would be lovely with a dollop of yoghurt on the side for dessert ?
So glad you liked this recipe, Lou!
