- 1 package acai frozen
- 1 banana frozen
- 1/4 cup full-fat unsweetened coconut milk
- protein powder of choice (optional)
- Toppings of choice (sliced banana, peanut or almond butter, shredded unsweetened coconut, hemp seeds, raw honey, raw cacao nibs, granola)

Instructions
- Add the acai, frozen banana, unsweetened coconut milk, and protein powder (if using) to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and top with desired toppings.
- Enjoy!

I used oat milk and skipped the protein powder and froze this in popsicle molds for my kids. They were a huge hit!

Question about acai bowls in general: I have the frozen acai puree but when I blend it with a frozen banana it’s still quite soupy. Does the addition of a milk thicken it? I’ve also heard of using avocado. Anyone try that?
Great question, Nicole! I can speak from personal experience: I only partially thaw the acai and when I blend it with a frozen banana, it is a good texture for me. Adding avocado could be a really interesting fix! I’ve also heard adding additional frozen fruits may help. If you find something that works for you, please let us know! 🙂
