Start by lining a pizza pan with parchment paper and set aside.
Add the yeast, warm water, olive oil, and egg to a mixing bowl and whisk. Fold in the gluten-free flour, garlic powder, oregano, and salt. Mix until well combined.
Place a damp towel or paper towel over the mixing bowl and let the dough rise for 30-60 minutes.
While the dough is rising, make the cashew cheese by adding all the ingredients to a food processor or high-speed blender and blend until a smooth “ricotta-style” cheese forms.
Next, preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Place the dough onto the lined pizza pan and flatten. Bake for 10 minutes without any toppings.
Remove from the oven and add the sauce, cashew cheese, shredded mozzarella (if using), and toppings of choice. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes. (Cooking Tip: If using basil or arugula, add to the pizza with just 3-minutes of cook time remaining.)
Cool for 5 minutes and then slice into 8 pizza slices. Enjoy!
