  1. Fill a large stock pot with just enough water to cover eggs by 1 inch. Gently place eggs in pot. Cover and heat on high heat until water begins to boil. Immediately upon boil, turn off the heat and allow the eggs to remain on the hot burner for one minute. After a minute, keep eggs covered, but remove pot from heat. Set a timer for 13 minutes. Allow eggs to continue cooking in the hot water.
  2. After 13 minutes, remove the eggs and place them in a bowl of ice water. Once they have cooled, store them in the fridge in an air-tight container. Hard boiled eggs make a great on-the-go snack or breakfast!
