  1. Combine panko, cheese, lemon zest, and pecans in a shallow dish. Set aside.
  2. Beat the egg and place in a shallow dish. Dry the halibut fillets, then dip in egg and then dredge in the pecan mixture to coat well. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat, add fish, turning once. Cook approximately 6 minutes per side.
