  1. Fill a medium pot with water, add potatoes, and bring to a boil. Boil potatoes until tender when pierced with a fork. While potatoes cook, steam or boil green beans until tender, yet crisp.
  2. In a separate bowl or jar, combine vinegar, shallot, dijon mustard, thyme, and olive oil. Whisk well. Add butter lettuce to a large serving bowl. Top with steamed green beans, boiled (and sliced) red potatoes, chopped ham, sliced avocado, and tomatoes. Toss with desired amount of dressing.
